UKG Authentication Upgrade
UKG is implementing new upgrades to their system to improve the user experience. The effective date is not finalized, but we can prepare now to ensure a smooth transition.
UKG is our Human Resources Information System (HRIS). It’s the program we use to track hours worked, process payroll, manage time off, complete annual reviews and more. Tentatively effective 2Q2026, UKG will upgrade their system, requiring changes to how you interact with the program.
WHY THE CHANGE?
The upgrade is called UKG Authentication. It’s an enhanced unified authentication experience for UKG solutions and includes unified sign-in, navigation and security enhancements applied across UKG.
This is a mandatory upgrade for all UKG users and the only way to access several applications available in the new version of the program.
The upgrade is expected to take effect during the second quarter of 2026.
BENEFITS OF UKG AUTHENTICATION
The UKG Authentication upgrade gives you an easier, faster, more secure way to access UKG. With the upgrade you’ll experience the following updated features:
- Fewer password changes = fewer interruptions and less hassle when logging in
- Quick access to your tools by skipping authentication in trusted or low-risk situations
- Time-based codes that are easy to use and help keep your login secure
- Flexibility to reset your password anytime using your email saved in the system – no need to contact IT, HR or UKG Support
MAJOR NOTE: URL CHANGE
While some of the upgrades are behind-the-scenes and part of the framework that makes the program work, one of the biggest changes is that once the upgrade is complete, the URL will be different. This is really important! Although the old URL will reroute to the new URL for a period of time, eventually you won’t be able to access UKG unless you’re using the new link. All references to the old link will be updated to the new link as quickly as possible.

WHAT’S NEXT
In order to successfully implement the upgrade, you’ll need to complete the following actions by April 1, 2026.
- Verify your email address in your UKG profile. If you do not have an email address listed, enter a current, accessible email address.
- Verify your phone number in your UKG profile. If you do not have a phone number in your profile, enter a current, accessible phone number.
How to access your phone number and email address:
- Using the mobile app: select your initials in the top left corner of the home page
- Using a computer: Navigate through the tabs on the left side of the screen beginning with Myself, then Personal, then Name, Address and Telephone
