Celebrating Don McNeeley - MSCI Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient
Chicago Tube & Iron Chairman honored with one of the metals industry’s most prestigious recognitions.
We are proud to share that Dr. Don McNeeley, Chairman of Chicago Tube & Iron (CTI), was honored with the Metals Service Center Institute (MSCI) Lifetime Achievement Award - one of the industry’s most prestigious recognitions.
The award celebrates individuals whose careers have made a lasting and meaningful impact on the metals industry. Recipients exemplify leadership, integrity, innovation, and a deep commitment to strengthening the metals community.
As a respected leader, educator, and industry advocate, Don’s decades with the company have shaped CTI’s culture of operational excellence, customer focus, and continuous improvement. Under his leadership, the organization strengthened its reputation for quality, reliability, and technical expertise — earning trust across generations of customers and partners.
Beyond business leadership, Don is a generous philanthropist who has personally contributed to and championed fundraising for numerous organizations around the world. He has also dedicated significant time to supporting educational programs, advancing workforce development, and championing the next generation of manufacturing talent. Notably, as Chairman of the MSCI, he introduced the organization’s Chapter Scholarship program, which has granted more than $13 million in financial assistance to children of industrial metals company employees. His advocacy has helped elevate the visibility and vitality of the metals industry nationwide.
This recognition is not only a reflection of Don’s personal achievements but also a proud moment for everyone at CTI and the broader Olympic Steel family. It underscores the strength, vision, and commitment that drive our organization and industry forward.
The live award presentation took place on March 17 at the MSCI Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas.
Please join in congratulating Don McNeeley on this exceptional honor.
