New AI Policy - Responsible Use & Guidelines
Using AI properly is important to protect yourself and the Company. Andrea Okun, General Counsel, introduces our new policy, explains where to go to learn more and who to contact with questions.
Representatives from Ryerson and Olympic Steel joined together to combine and improve upon our existing AI practices and set our path moving forward. Effective, 9/1/26, we have a new AI policy that takes us from our basic beginnings to a more robust structure for adoption and use of AI. And includes our guardrails for use of this rapidly evolving technology.
Using AI properly is important to protect the Company and yourself. AI has its limitations and should be used as an accelerator, not a replacement for your knowledge, judgement and years of expertise.
